今年夏天,隨著CAIE(劍橋)和EdExcel(愛德思)考試局的A-level成績放榜,我校首屆畢業生的A2考試和G10學生IGCSE的考試結果如約而至。
在英國學生A*和A成績比例下降到27%的壓力下,南京金地未來學校國際高中部得A率高達50%,其中不乏AS考試五門全A,A2考試獲得A*A*A的好成績。

Staff and students alike have been keenly anticipating the public exam results this year. With our first G12 graduating cohort and our first substantial number of IGCSE entries in G10, these represent the school’s first ever complete set of public exam results.The exam results have been awarded by CAIE (Cambridge) and EdExcel examination boards.
A-level考試由英國考試局統一評判,嚴格的評分標準,也被認定為大學預備學業的“金牌標準”。近幾年,由于疫情影響,考試局調整了評分形式。2022年,導師估分制也導致了學生A*/A成績比例飆升至45%。
今年,考試局明確表示,“疫情影響”必須結束,不再針對這一因素給予特殊調整。這也直接導致了今年英國學生A*和A成績比例下降到27%,接近2019年同期水平。(來源BBC新聞,2023/08/17)
The exams are marked externally and subjected to the highest standards of assessment. A levels are widely regarded as a “gold standard” of pre-university academic achievement.In recent years, the examination boards have given special consideration to students due to the effects of covid on the educational provision in many countries. In 2022, this saw the percentage of A* and A grades soar to 45% as exams were largely replaced with grades awarded by teachers.
This year the exam boards have been clear that the “Covid grade inflation” must end, and no special consideration has been given for this set of exams. The consequence is that in England, the percentage of A* and A grades has dropped right back to 27%, similar to the pre-Covid results in 2019 (source BBC news, 2023/08/17).
金地學子高分頻出,熠熠閃光
值得自豪的是,在如此嚴峻的形勢下,南京金地未來學校G11、G12學生在AS和A2考試中成績斐然,取得了50% A*和A的成績。這個比例,幾乎是英國當地學生得A率的兩倍。
與此同時,G10學生在IGCSE考試中表現不俗,獲得了44%的A*和A的好成績。在每一個熠熠閃光的A背后,都有著無數次的努力拼搏,一步一個腳印的恒久堅持,他們今日綻放,也即將璀璨這個世界。
We are particularly proud, therefore, that our G11 and G12 students achieved 50% A* and A grades in their AS and A2 examinations. This is nearly double the percentage in England where students have for many years been following courses designed to prepare them for A levels. Of course students in England also benefit substantially from being native English speakers. So our students’ results really are an extraordinary achievement, just three years after the school opened. Our G10 students did nearly as well, achieving 44% A* and A in their IGCSE exams.
悅納教育,實現學業與人格均衡發展

Matt Ford, the International High School Principal said he is delighted for the students, and the results reflect their hard work and, of course, the commitment and guidance of their teachers. He was keen to stress that the school was not very selective academically in its first two years when admitting students. He also notes that we are not an “exam factory” (which is a term widely used in the UK to refer to schools in which students work very long hours focused purely on academic results and little else).

He said: “Many students in China and elsewhere are put under huge pressure to achieve academic results. Globally there are more mental health problems than ever among our young people. At RGSG Nanjing we believe firmly that it is important that our students are happy and enjoy good mental health and physical health. They should enjoy their time at school. They should also take part in activities and learn outside the classroom. We are proud of our House system which teaches our students essential soft skills such as communication, collaboration and leadership in a manner that is fun.

Our excellent results completely vindicate our approach. They demonstrate that it is perfectly possible to get strong academic results and to develop key skills through a variety of approaches in a way that is enjoyable. Some in China label this approach “loose management” but nothing is further from the truth. It is in fact a style of education that has existed in the best Western schools for hundreds of years. This is at the heart of a true international education and is very much the philosophy of our parent school, RGSG in the UK. It prepares students well for international universities and their careers beyond”.

Mr Chris Lee, the RGSG International Operations manager said, “We have just seen the exam results from RGSG Nanjing. They are fantastic and a there is lot to be proud of here. Despite the many challenges of the school the students have achieved some great results. Please do pass on our congratulations to all the staff involved in these results, and the students.”
新起點,師生攜手共進金色未來
今年9月,南京金地未來學校國際高中的入學申請人數再創新高。新G10將開設三個班,國際高中規模也將擴大一倍。值得關注的是,本屆新G10學生非常優秀,其中獎學金獲得者眾多。

With record numbers of applicants for the International High School for September this year and G10 at full capacity across three forms, the International High School school is due to double in size this September. The quality of the intake is excellent with substantially more high achievers and scholars than ever before. The future of the International High School looks very strong indeed as it prepared to build on these excellent foundations.
